This is the equivalent of Wozniak and Jobs first test of their new Apple Computer concept in a garage somewhere! Way cool. Its darn expensive to develop a completely new type of jet with affordable vertical takeoff and landing capability. Tony and Rex Dupont are to be commended for their great work on this concept. They are up against the big players of plane and jet development such as Boeing, Grumman, Airbus and Lockheed Martin. Many were skeptical but it works. The vectoring of the turbofan thrust is done by a simple ladder like rotating link. The air thrust flow stream hits the steps of the ladder which are curved to redirect the thrust downward as the ladder is dropped down into the flow stream. Simple cool and will be reliable once fully developed. Back in early 2000 time frame I worked for Rex Dupont for 1/2 week on this project as an engineering consultant to help select some power train components for its control system. duPont Aerospace is not affiliated with big corp Dupont currently run by CEO Ellen Jamison who is an old Tufts alum. classmate of mine. If I were her Id certainly consider making serious investments in this and adding a biz jet product line to my family of products. If a big American corp like duPont or some other existing big mobility products corp doesnt pick this up Im sure the duPont bros will find a backer in Japan, Europe, Russia or China but really and truly my American CEO buds, this one ought to be built HERE so wake up and open your wallets asap. Later I will benefit by having one to use to land at tiny Eagles Nest landing strip in nearby Stafford Township! https://youtube/watch?v=g1Ze9Xizpfc
