This is the minute intercepted by our team and was first posted by our able iron lady Samira Seidu. Tension now rocks the animals kingdom. Please, dont attack the messenger, attack the traitor who leaked it.... MINUTES OF THE NORTHERN REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS TEAM OF THE NPP -29TH NOV.2014 Todays meeting begun with an opening prayer as usual. Alhassan Latif, Assistant Secretary for Nanton constituency n a member of the team said the prayer. The Regional Communications Director, Mohammed Abdul-Kudus set the ball rolling by welcoming all communicators to the meeting. Mr. Kudus briefed the entire house about the outcome of a meeting held in Accra targeted at ensuring effective communication. According him, there is a need to adopt at least 3 party faithfuls from the polling station n the electoral area level who will be responsible for communicating on behalf of the party at those levels. Deliberations were halted for almost a minute to allow the the Deputy National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha to settle down. Salam, who is a member of the team was given the opportunity to address the team but he stated that, he is a man of few words now. Mohammed Issah, Deputy Youth Org for Daboya n Alhassan Latif Assistant Sec for Nanton complained of a sustainable source of funding to sustain such a laudable idea of recruiting people at those levels(polling station n electoral area) But Mohammed Issah was optimistic that, if members could tax themselves towards that course, the idea could work. This brought Eliasu Haruna Tamale popularly known as Illiasus Lamashegu to his feet. He praised the NDC with some examples of effectively communicating from the top to the last man. Elliasu spoke about his experience as a part time taxi driver, particularly on his encounter with passengers. Secondly, Elliasu Lamashegu expressed his unhappiness about the conduct of some party communicators on the social media platforms. He accused them of not commenting on the posts by NPP members but are soo quick to rush to the walls of NDC members with comments. Illiasus contribution did not go down well with Fredrick Tahiru who is also a member of the team. Fredrick Tahiru argued that, NDC members have been communicating to the last voluntarily n not out of a deliberate effort. Fredrick Tahiru further stated that, NDC has no such laudable idea. In his view, he has interrupted with soo many members of the NDCs communications team n they r totally ignorant of such an innovation. Fredrick also praised team members for staying ahead of their counterparts in the NDC but agreed with Illiasu on the social media issue. Mohammed Soawi, Assistant Secretary for Tamale South, urged member members to levy themselves so that little expenditures could be taken care of without any external support. Awal Issahaku Kanawu supported the idea of local recruitment of communicators which could be easily financed by members. He suggested that, facebookers n other social media network users be brought onboard. But Fredrick Tahiru sharply disagreed with him n cited examples of NPP facebookers who has been consistently defending NDC officials including Harruna Iddrisu n Inusah Fuseini. According to Fredrick, this trend must be discouraged because, it is giving NPP communicators a bad name. He revealed that, the rumour going round is that, NPP communicators have taken bribes from Harruna Iddrisu hence their attacks on Harruna is soft. This assertion was rubbished by the constituency secretary of Mion, Ndung Amin Natural. Amin described the allegation as untrue n further explained that, the decision to take sides in the feud between Harruna n Inusah was deliberate n well nursed to deepen the cracks in the NDC. That explanation was later described by the Regional Communications Director, Mohammed Kudus as subterfuge. Amin further explained that, the decision was to also silence a group of NDC guys who has been tagging Nana Addo with cocaine on their facebook walls. Those guys were described with the appropriate word by the Deputy National Youth Organizer, Salam Mustapha. Abubakari Shani Bawumia n Fredrick Tahiru were given the opportunity to brief the house on the progress n success of Manpruli n Gonja programs. Bawumia recounted how he was commuting between Walewale n Tamale to represent the party on EAGLE FM in Walewale. But he added that, the fare to move in n out was becoming too much. Fredrick Tahiru on his part said, the Gonja program is doing very well considering the seriousness attached to it. According him he has been briefing his panelists before bringing them on air. This attracted an interruption from Abdul Karim Oliver. Oliver wanted to know whether Fredrick will be comfortable in working as a host or a panelist. Fredrick said for now I am comfortable in my current position as the a host because, I have been giving leading questions to my guests n even reminding n redirecting them as to what to say Mohammed Issah came back with some concerns on the pairing of our reps on various radio stations in Tamale. He pleaded with examples that, hot headed communicators should be allowed to pair with some NDC communicators. Mr Samual Tika, the 2012 parliamentary candidate of the NPP in Daboya/Mankarigu constituency took the floor. Mr Samuel Tika who is still an aspiring candidate praised members of the team n urged all to attach seriousness to the radio programs. Tika however admitted that, the NDC is visible at the polling station n electoral area levels than the NPP. The aspiring Daboya/Mankarigu parliamentary candidate admonished the team to work hard to make the party seen at the grassroot level. The Regional Communications Director, Mohammed Abdul Kudus autocratically decided to allow the only lady present at the meeting to speak. Madam Suraya who doubles as the Women,s Organizer for Tamale Central Constituency was unhappy particularly about the lack of a comprehensive agenda for the meeting. Mr Samuel Tika said the closing prayer. #so_u_see
