This message will be simple and straight forward. I have no intentions of presenting myself as “knowing all”, being a prophet or having God speak audibly to me about this moment in history. I am only re-evaluating what is contained in the most precious book ever written; the Bible. Many have claimed that there will be a great revival before the Rapture. We have been told that we will see millions come to Christ before the Rapture. There are claims that we will take over governments, run cities and control nations (Dominion Theology). I have made statements myself that I must now revisit. Remember this. We are to pray for our government leaders. Not so we can take over, but so we can live “peaceably”. It is always easier and more efficient to preach the gospel during times of peace. When we have freedom, it is easier to spread the good news. Jesus is not interested in taking over nations here. He is building His Church and His Kingdom. He will establish His Kingdom and all others will be done away. We live in a great hour. These are the moments just before the glorious appearing of our King. He will soon appear and Rapture us away. But the only ones who will stand are those that are grounded in sound doctrine and solid Bible teaching. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 New International Version (NIV) “1The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.” “Some will abandon the faith”. We are already seeing this happen. False teachers and liars have for some time now been mixing the Bible with other teachings. There are some extreme cases that cannot be overlooked. There are meeting places where in the back of the pew you will find a copy of both the Bible and the Koran. They read scriptures and teachings from both books and “mix” the teachings. In other places, this is done in a much more subtle way. Self-help and new age feel good doctrine mixed and presented as truth. So, instead of revival, we see where there will be an abandoning of the faith just before the Lords appearing. In some circles legalism (a dependence on our works for salvation) is taught in place of Grace. In others, miracles, the gifts of the Spirit, healing and the Baptism with the Holy Ghost are taught to have been done away with. It will grow more difficult as we approach the Rapture to find a house of prayer where the Word is being declared in its purest form possible (there will be a famine of the Word). Just like the wedding feast where the wine that was served was watered down, many are serving watered down wine to the believers. But there will be Houses of Prayer where the best wine is about to be served. This wine will satisfy. This wine will heal. This wine will restore, refresh and fill to overflowing with the Love of God. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 King James Version (KJV) 1 “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:” Contrary to a great revival, the Word says there will be a Falling Away First! Are we not already experiencing this prophecy? Yes, we are seeing people come into the Kingdom. We are hearing of salvations, but how many that once kneeled with us at the altar of sacrifice and intercession no longer join us. Despondency and sleep has overtaken many. Discouragement because of unfulfilled desires has crushed many. The narrow highway is less crowded than it has ever been. Few remember the attitude of the 3 Hebrew Boys who said, “Our God is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, but even if He chooses not to deliver us, WE WILL NOT BOW!” He is a healer, a provider, a miracle worker. We are called upon to Trust and Believe. But if we don’t immediately get what we ask for, we have a great tendency to let go of the Great I AM. Now, let me conclude with really GOOD NEWS! Acts 11: 13-14 13 “And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter; 14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.” If we continue in Him, we can count on Him to save us and our HOUSE! If that were all he was going to do, would that not be worth standing strong to the end? I believe we are now planting seeds that will produce fruit during the tribulation period. We are plowing fields that will be harvested during the time of Jacobs Trouble (the 7 year tribulation). When we are gone after the Rapture, people will find our Bibles filled with notes of revelation. They will listen to our CD’s filled with Holy Ghost preaching, DVD’s revealing healing love. They will read books that we wrote teaching of God’s Grace. Our prayers that are being stored in vials in Heaven will be poured out upon the earth at the precise moment they are needed and they will be answered. The people of the tribulation will listen to the songs we’ve written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and be set free by the anointing. The 144,000 Jewish Evangelists will be encouraged by those who have gone before. What will come shortly afterwards will cause us to fall to our knees. Zechariah tells us that over 1 Billion people will be saved during the tribulation period! 1 Billion! Brothers and Sisters, we will be overwhelmed in Heaven when people from the great tribulation come up to us on the Streets of Gold and say, “Thank you for the seeds you planted, the notes you wrote, the songs you recorded, the messages you preached, the books you published and the prayers you proclaimed. Because of what you did before the tribulation I was pulled into the saving grace of Jesus Christ during the tribulation and I am here with you today. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Amen! We have more than enough reason to rejoice. We are going home soon and because of our labor, many will follow us home. Glory to God and to the Lamb forever! Your servant for Jesus sake, Rex Webb
