This sketch is nearly 40 years old. You could not make this sketch - TopicsExpress

This sketch is nearly 40 years old. You could not make this sketch any more, in this politically correct world of ours. Is that a good or bad thing? uhhh..depends. Perhaps we have lost something, the boldness that allowed this sketch to be made in the first place. And yet, ok its offensive language, buts its two way. There are white and black insults in it, but I feel no offense at it. The truth is Whitey, Honky and Cracker will never ever have the power your n-word ever will. There aint no W or H- words..and the C word is something else. Now i hate censorship, and self censorship i hate more. But i do not want to offend, so im going along with it. I just want you to remember a word George Carlin reminded us of. Context. Its not the words themselves that are offensive, it is the context they are used in. Otherwise a lot of rap music would be in deep shit. Nope, n-word is used aplenty in rap music, and quite rightly so. CONTEXT! Is this sketch relevant? Listen, if im talking about this 40 years after it was first on tv, its still relevant. Somone may talk about this sketch in another 40 years, cause its an issue that is not going away anytime soon.
