Today as the three of us sat at dinner I burped really big. I thought to myself and then spoke aloud and said to Benjamin, Im sure not teaching you good table manners. Then the thought ran through my head, do as I say not as I do. As kids we were all told this consistently. However now that Im a daddy I think to myself, I need to set an example for my children, not just by what I say but also by what I do. A child is more apt to do what we do then do what we say. Be a good as well as a Godly example. Our society could sure use a well mannered respectable and God fearing generation.
