Today is my DAD’s birthday! Thanking God for yet another year to celebrate with him! This man has stood the test of time and is still standing with love and faith. These words still applies: preacher, teacher, role model, strong, caring, loving, long suffering, kind, best friend, encourager, provider, giver, wise, man of faith, creative, artsy, great style, compassionate, friendly, supportive, cheerful, handy and great spirited. He has always been a great example of a real man, a real man of God and a real family man. I have never seen anything less than that. And to this day out of nowhere he yells “I’m gonna make it,” exalting the Lord, talking to the Lord, encouraging himself in the Lord, worshipping by himself and even preaching in his sleep LOL! He continues to show up for life with excitement, declaring the promises of God. Even when he doesn’t feel his best he shakes himself, speaks faith and then starts moving. I can still remember him giving his testimony of how the doctors told his mother he would die because of a problem with heavy nose bleeding during his youth but God wasnt finished with him. He does not back down on God’s word for anyone and he even rebukes me for talking negative. As he would say “stop talking that negative talk.” He is someone that I can talk to, he tells me the truth and he knows how to make me feel better. I admire him so much and I am privileged to have him as my dad! Please help me celebrate my dad’s birthday again!
