Todays yesterday news, Emergency room doctors work as hard - TopicsExpress

Todays yesterday news, Emergency room doctors work as hard as we work them. They deal with ambulance after ambulance dropping 911 callers at their door 24-7. Then you need to think about all the patients that arrive by vehicle. With this in mind Ruben and I got a call for an elderly Southern Belle with the vapors. You know, Oh my, I do be believe I have the vapors. An examination revealed that her blood pressure was low and needed the ride to the E.R. We gave her the full treatment and notified the hospital that we were in route. Our report is written on a big chalkboard on the E.R. wall with vitals for all the staff to see and expect us. When we arrived the E.R. was getting hammered with patients and here we were with another. The staff was running back and forth busy as bees. I made eye contact with the very stressed doctor on duty. I said that we had the low blood pressure patient and where would he like us to put her. Stressed and short tempered he barked the question, Damn guys, how low did she go? Simultaneously, Ruben and I looked at each other and answered, Limbo doctor limbo. How low can you go. Ruben and I could almost hear the bongo drums as we limboed right on past the nasty doctor. Nasty doctor hung his head and moved along.
