Today’s topic: Outside-In, Inside-Out and Holographic Models Yesterday we shifted our focus to explore the topic of “emergence” and we began with the premise that what we are choosing to invite into our experience is the “arising of something that is fresh and unexpected which is not simply a continuation of old patterns.” We then might ask: Why is it more valuable for us to be connected in community this way? Won’t new possibilities “emerge” regardless of whether or not we are playing together in this field? To that I say that the laws of resonance and attraction teach us that “emergence” will always reflect the level of consciousness that existed at the moment of its conception. In other words, if you are steeped in fear, what will emerge will reinforce the game of fear. And if you are steeped in love and connection, what will emerge will be a living example of that. Up until recently, the majority of of people on the planet have been co-creating the future from a consciousness resonant with fear, lack and separation. As I share regularly in “Wealth Consciousness Upgrade Events” (choosingprosperity/prosperity-resources/ ) when we are locked in a mindset of fear, lack and scarcity we believe that: 1) there is not enough, 2) we are not enough and 3) we are alone in all of our challenges. This creates an experience of “neediness” as we try (in vain) to fill our inner emptiness with _______ (fill in the blank with any of the following: love, money, fame, toys, success, approval, appreciation, etc.) Most of you who are playing here have already experienced your own personal epiphanies that revealed the bankruptcy of this “outside-in” model. Many of us evolved from this perspective to an “inside-out” model which supported us in taking 100% responsibility for everything that we experienced in our lives. This is indeed a significant leap - and now I’d like to nudge you beyond “outside-in” and “inside-out” into a holographic model that connects the shifts we make on the inner planes with what is created collectively on the outer planes. In Leading from the Emerging Future, Otto Scharmer (an MIT professor) makes a cogent argument that every crisis we are facing as a planet can be traced to this prevailing “needy” mindset. He illustrates these connections very simply with the following formula: “The loss of meaning in life and work (the inner void) is often filled with additional material consumption (consumerism), which deepens the ecological divide by further depleting resources. The intensification of the natural resource stream flowing from the developing to the developed countries, and the waste streams flowing the opposite way, leads in turn to a deepening of the social divide. In short: inner void → consumerism → ecological divide → social divide.” The very enlivening news that he shares next is his perspective that, because the underlying “inner void” issue is the same, a shift on the underlying level (the level of consciousnesses where “inner void” seems real) will have a significant beneficial effect on each of the subsequent systems. In other words, when enough people begin to perceive the world in a way that alleviates the inner void experience, the resulting shift of consciousness across the planet is likely to disengage the constraints that have been holding significant ecological and social divides in place. I know that this is the greatest hope of so many of us here - that as we shift our own personal consciousness we become a beacon of possibilities for others and, in a massive domino effect, the foundation of our collective “reality” is then able to shift in kind. This is the potency I’d like you to claim today - the impact that we can have on the entire course of the planet as a predictable extension of the inner shifts we are evoking in ourselves and our clientele. In our live event next week we will utilize a set of holographic tools that will enable each of us to hold our personal visions in this significantly expanded way. This will be an experience where we go beyond the limitations of our individual minds and declare our intentions to serve as vehicles through which the emerging future may be expressed. The question today is very simple: What in this message (and opportunity) inspires, intrigues or resonates most strongly with you?
