Tomorrow night many people within the greater Beechmount community will travel to St Pauls Parish for the annual Christmas Eve Mass, every year vehicles flood the small area as motorists attending will park in Cavendish street, Square and the surrounding streets. Over the past few months we have been contacted and stopped in the street to make us aware of vehicles having their windows broke and valuables stolen in and around Cavendish street and square. The Beechmount Residents Collective would urge motorists to remove all valuables (such as mobile phones, sat navs, money or laptops) when they park their vehicles while attending the Christmas Eve Mass. Also if possible and able, could we ask local residents to leave their vehicles at home as parking spaces for residents of Cavendish area are took up and the streets are made narrow, leaving it hard for motorists to travel through causing heavy traffic for such a small area. Keep safe and respect residents.
