Tonight we are in mourning for our sweet friend, Baby. From the day he came to us, it was obvious that inside that gorgeous, fluffy, orange body lived a very old and gentle soul. Baby was wonderfully cuddly, the best lap cat, and could always chase away the blues with his soft purr and loving gaze. He was very accepting of the other cats, and never fought or even groused at them. He was always a graceful gentleman. After working with our vet and specialists on a medical condition that was no longer responding to treatment, it was discovered that Baby had an inoperable bowel tumor. Our sweet boy became one of our special sanctuary cats, and we did our best to keep him happy and comfortable for the time we had left with him. He had so much love to give and knew he was well loved in return. The decision was made this afternoon to let Baby go, and he passed in the arms of the volunteer with whom he had the closest bond, loved now and always. Thank you, Baby. It was an honor to know and care for you. We will miss you deeply, and you will never be forgotten.
