Turn Off the Fan! A fan has no cooling property whatsoever regarding cooling a room. It acts to mix the air and it can increase the rate of heat transfer between a hot/cold object and the room air by increasing flow. But the fan does not remove heat or make a room more cool. If you are in the room you will feel cooler, because heat is leaving your body faster due to flow (if the air temperature is below your skin temperature).
