Update day 9 (Mad Cow Disease): What a day! Had to get up at 8 this morning for a seminar, which was way too early for me. Thank god the sun was shining, it made it a lot easier for me. I was busy until noon when me and Jess had a great round in the square. People are so generous, its amazing. Its happening more and more that people gives us notes now! Its absolutely overwhelming. They receive a hug (only if they want to of course, I havent showered in 10 days) as well. Thanks to the 3 people whos donated notes today, it makes our day. Met up with some team members later on, and generally had a good time out in the sun. I had a movie at 5 with my anthropology class, and we watched a movie about the Masai people in East Africa. Theyre a nomadic people, but they do value their kettle incredibly much. I dont want to go into too much detail about this people, as this isnt an essay in social anthr., but my point is that for native east African cultures, cows are very central and valuable. Which basically puts my cow madness into a setting. We also paused the film during a scene that was filled with cows just to take some photos, because the opportunity was too big to be missed. Some of my cheeky class mates sent it to Spotted UEA library, so that was funny! Its the 3rd time since Saturday now. Today is also pancake day here in England, so pretty much 90% of the population had pancakes today, including me. They were udderly amazing. Got permission to go to the pub later on as well, but Jess couldnt join me unfortunately. I did go, and it was great fun! Got to have some great conversations with a lot of people, really appreciate that. Also, thanks to all the people who donated there and in the queue outside the LCR. It all adds up. Im getting closer to my target now, only a few days left to go! Im incredibly excited as I find something new about how disgusting this is every day. Moooo
