Update on my workouts since Ive been pregnant....Im still doing it!! Everything Ive read and experienced says you cant do anything better than workout during your pregnancy, and especially lift weights. Of course, this is if everything is low risk and normal. There are exceptions in which your doctor will let you know if you should not be exercising. So for the most part, I have kept my workout routine similar to what it was before I was pregnant of course switching things up here and there to keep from getting bored! So I thought Id just keep a log here on what my basic workouts have been. Heres what Ive done today! And be sure to check back for ideas and updates for the next week 😊 If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before trying these workouts. Your routines should be similar to what they were before you got pregnant, only progressing within normal limits. So on Saturdays, I usually do a full body high intensity workout that really makes you sweat! Heres what it consisted of tonight- 3 rounds of 30 second intervals on a spin bike. Superset: 3x10 Box jumps Eccentric pullups 3 rounds of 30 sec intervals on spin bike Superset: 3x15 Squat to shoulder press with 40 lb barbell burpees with a pushup to a deadlift, squeezing Glutes on the way up! 50 lb barbell (do as many real push-ups as you can, then go to your knees when you have to) 3 rounds of 30 sec intervals Superset: 3x15 Cable squat to row ~35 lbs on cable machine Squat throw with medicine ball (throw straight up and catch on the way down). 16 lb ball 3 rounds of 30 sec. Intervals Superset: Cable crunches on exercise ball: 15 Doggy plank with crunch - full extension at top to work low back, then crunch in opposite arm and knee to squeeze abs. 15 each side 15-20 min steady state cardio afterwards. Make sure you have a good Playlist to get through this workout!!! Tip- you can use this as an outline or blueprint, interchange any exercises for other ones you like or know better!
