Volunteer Firefighters are a crucial component in the fire service and make up the heart and soul of our department. Many of our personnel have used the training they receive through us to move on to career Firefighter or EMT positions with us as well as with other departments. Not only can your experience with our department help further you future career, if that is your goal. But imagine for a moment the satisfaction you feel at the end of the day, knowing that you made a difference in someones life. A light at the end of the tunnel during one of their darkest moments. The smile of a child while educating them in fire safety. The possibilities are endless and the rewards are great. Minimum Requirements: · Must be 18 years of age. · High School Diploma or GED. · Able to pass background check. · Ability to pass general knowledge entrance exam. · Submit to random drug testing. · Complete 48 hours of shifts coverage per month. · Attend 80% of all trainings and meetings annually. · Be willing to make a difference!
