We took our first tour today with Luis Guevara. Went up into the Andes Mts. and visited a bunch of small villages and got to see how the indigenous live, and what they do. Got to see pottery being made, adobe bricks which are shipped all over Ecuador, hammocks being made by hand, necklaces and bracelets and how they cut and drill the beads and stones out of native material. It was amazing the work ethic of these people! We saw an 8 yr old girl pushing wheel barrels of mud to her father to form adobe bricks. Those of you here awhile already know all this. I read about it, but now I saw it. Big difference! Here are a few pictures in no particular order. Thank you Luis for a chance to see your beautiful people.
