Well that was...unexpected. I dont know that this was great Active Self Protection in terms of risk management, but it worked for him and so he gets a gold star for effectiveness. How would you have handled this? (All I have of the origins of this is that its from Ukraine) Lessons: 1. When someone uses a firearm as an intimidation tool, it can get them beat to heck. So never brandish a firearm youre not willing to use. 2. Sometimes, guts is enough! The guy had guts and a good, short left cross that won him the day. Sometimes one good punch can get you out of a bad spot. 3. I gotta be honest...if some guy walks in front of my car with a gun in his hand and wont let me by, I am not getting out of the car. I am gonna run his happy little self over and be on my way. Attitude. Skills. Plan.
