What an amazing day!! Trooper loaded like a saint on the way to his first big boy show...straight on the trailer and no tantrums!! Despite being a touch nervous when we unloaded he let me tack up and warm up and relaxed a lot. After hours of waiting for his first class he was bored and had reclaimed his nutty edge to say the least so had 4 faults, just a baby mistake loosing balance down hill so finished in 3rd!! Whoop woop!! He had more faults in his second class again a result of bad set up on my part and loss of balance downhill!! We still achieved a 2nd though so cannot complain at all!! Loading on the way home took a bit longer than expected cough 1 hour cough but he was a superstar the rest if the day so hes been let off this time!! Seeing him relax and eat his Haylage in a new environment was truly brilliant as there have been times I didnt think Id canter that horse again let alone load, travel, jump and win Rosettes!! Hopefully tomorrow goes as well (if not better)
