What started as a 120 hill hop yard on Clark Hollow Road turned - TopicsExpress

What started as a 120 hill hop yard on Clark Hollow Road turned into a passion none of us could have imagined as we ventured out to build a business including expanding onto a 5 acre plot on Shackham Road in the Town of Fabius. Weve had quite a few onlookers slow down as they drive by and even local hop farmers stop by to admire the professional looking yard that the four of us have built from sweat and tears (with help from our wonderful families and friends). Its our trellises you can see on Route 80 on your way into the Village of Fabius! While we are excited to be a novelty of sorts, we take this farm venture very seriously. Weve been up at dawn most weekends since early March preparing our yard, and are grateful of the appreciation! Right now we have completed a planting of more than 2100 plants at the Shackham yard and are gearing up for a summer of careful attention to the growth of our plants and a successful harvest/quality processing of hops that brewers joining the burgeoning New York craft brewery boom can use. We are also tending to the 120 hills on Clark Hollow Road. Where it all began. Thanks to those that helped and feel free to contact us for more information or to schedule a tour. Stay tuned for an updated photo gallery and our updated story on clarkhollowhops Cheers!!! The Johnson and Bullard families
