When I was a young man entering the business world I thought that - TopicsExpress

When I was a young man entering the business world I thought that formal business dress was an unnecessary inconvenience...but today new images come to mind. I dont like going to church where everyone looks like they just came from Wal-Mart, I dont like people getting more excited about Casual Friday than they do about achieving their goals...I dont want teachers wearing flip flops and students wearing jeans down to the crack of their ass. The late Jim Rohn explained, casualness leads to casualties. Ronald Reagan said that out of respect for the position he was given he never took his suit coat off while he was in the Oval Office...not once in 8 years. As a competitor dont you wish that your opponent is cool and casual? A war hero told me that prior to an attack on an enemy platoon that they would get a view of the enemy soldiers, their conduct, and the condition of their living quarters. If they were sharp and formal then they would review their plan and get extra sleep, but if they were sloppy and casual then they would stay up late and play cards knowing it would be easy to kick their ass the next morning. I fear that America is becoming like the sloppy and undisciplined football team that everyone loves to schedule for homecoming.
