When I was working at Memphis Airport I met this amazing young lady and her mother. I cant remember her name but I remember her infectious smile and wonderful temperament. She would come to Memphis once a month to see her doctor and Id meet her at her gate to escort her wherever she needed to go. For three years her mother would call our office to let me know when they were arriving and leaving, each time Id be happy to see her. One day her mother called and asked that I meet her at the American Airlines ticket counter, when I got there she was alone. I remember her looking at me with a sad smile and saying to me thank you for everything but this is my last trip to Memphis! I looked around and didnt see my little angel. Her mother informed me the week before they were to come for her doctors visit she passed away at home. She told me that her daughter always looked forward to seeing me because I made her laugh and feel special. Little did she know that I admired her strength through all she went through. She had been battling cancer but she never let it break her spirit. I truly miss her smile. Just wanted to share what was on my mind! Rest In Peace My Angel!
