Which two hey, weve made it middle-aged white guys havent at some point come to the wildly incorrect conclusion that the conversations they have in the diner, as they steal french fries from each other, would be a GREAT television show? Are there any who have not had the passing, and completely deluded thought? I doubt it. And yet that aimless media empire known as Bloomberg, L.P., is about to give an actual television show to two middle-aged white guys — journalists with plenty of platform already — on the stated premise that the chattering they do over beers about politics and sports (and music! and movies!) is exactly what were dying to listen to. This is so retrograde and so stupid and so complacent and so fake on so many levels that I cant even.... aw, hell, just watch the damn trailer. (Okay, one viewing note: Theyre at a minor league ballpark on Staten Island because, you see, these are real guys who just love the game, not the glamour. Im going to be ill if I keep writing, so you will have to pick up the commentary from here.)
