While at Kure Beach the week of 9/14 I was on the fishing pier trying to photograph the brown pelicans. I noticed they were hovering over a certain area and than all of the sudden they started diving into the water. There was a school of small blue fish that was passing through and the pelicans took advantage of an easy meal. They were diving so fast that it was impossible to follow them from the start of the dive to the water so I took a group of photos and put them in sequence to try to depict what I saw. I have never witnessed so much action in one place and trust me when I say I had a lot of blurry photos. The very first photo is interesting because this is the formation the pelican would go into before they started their dive.
