Why do we need a festival for celebration... Why a particular day ..a holi or dewali or whatever..why not every moment. Why not we celebrate the work we do. The answer probably..no absolutely lies in the structure of political economy and the bourgeoise system of governments....if people suffer most days they in fact need someday to remove their frustrations. as world has often been ruled by minority who has sucked the very benefits of common mens labour..they by their cunningnes provided people with some days so that they can forget their miseries or somehow do a catharsis ..in other words they have provided a safety valve like structures....the truth is that the more one glorifies the occasssion the more of alienation one has suffered what made me write this was something which made me analyse the process of celebration..i mean the way people celebrate these festivals z against the very ethics of celebration. in d morning i wrote that we should respect the dignity of other while celebrating.. right to have a dignified life is corollary of right to life..when one does anything against ones wishes it is breach to this very basic right besides being against the ethics of morality..i saw people removing all their frustrations through colors, fire crackers or whatever as the occasion prescribes. a more of revenge i found in their actions. what we have been taught form the beginning is that festivals provide an oppurtunity to revive relations, familial or societal..further, celebration as i understand is a very pious and delicate phenomenon. it needs flexible handling besides gentle and honest approach. today when i asked myself whether there is a festival i like..the answer to my surprise was not in affirmation.. every festival i can criticize for their fallacies...applying colour how beautiful it seems but how tragically it is undertaken...probably no one can deny the fact that every festival bring with it a number of tragedies. the remedy to all this is not an easy affair..as the problem has been crept form the constitution of society and politics..the remedy lies in reconstitution of the system.. a social and political revolution i suppose ....
