Wow I cant believe we are at the home of the illustrious Author Jules Verne after celebrating his newest literary adventure Journey to the center of the Earth in 1866 France Summer residence country Chateau. We gather around drinking pre-dinner tea playing Charade. Amy DiMartino is prancing around in her most elegant of dresses as we try to figure out her clues. Nic Starr and Doug Starr are standing by the window in deep conversation with various french Upper class visitors. Jayden Brooks , Sage Marlowe and Jamie Alluisi are standing in awe in front of Mr. Vernes floor to ceiling library. I am dancing around admiring my blue and ivory dress thinking how handsome the men in our group look in their evening finery when the dinner bell rings. As we all take our seats we cant help the French cookery rendered before our salivating mouths and huge amazed eyes. Stuffed cucumbers with delicate flavored fish, Soupe a lolgnons, a spectacular selection of braised tender meats and exotic ambrosia of fruits and mouth watering sweets. The succulent prawns and leg of mutton in rich gravy made with original savory meat-juice. I over hear Taylor V. Donovan whisper to Author G. Hardmen how luxurious and agreeable everything was presented as Author wished his papa bear was next to him. (Le Sigh). Patti Carhart kept trying to hide the marvelous looking Croissant farcie frite de mer swathed in chocolate. Hank Edwards was having a lively debate with Mr. Verne about the power of fantasy and story telling to alleviate the troubles of poverty if only for a short time. Author Kora Knight stands up to make a toast in Mr.Vernes honor....To our marvelous host whom has rendered a selection of meals that by far needs no improvement we gratefully accept and thank you for this evening of friendship and wonder. Hear...Hear we all clink wine glasses as we excitedly and busily do justice to the cooks efforts.
