Yesterday, DFCM organized its AGM for 2015. During the AGM members renewed their membership for this year and the committee gave the financial report of last year and announced some of the activities apart from the fishing competitions season which will be held this year. The committee also advised some changes it introduced in the overall prizes for this year......a €50 voucher for any biggest fish caught during the shield competitions and an other €50 voucher for the biggest fish which is not neither a Conger Eel (Gringu) nor a Moray Eel (Morina) plus the usual trophy, apart from that the €100 voucher for the biggest catch which will remain as last years. An other change introduced was in the Marshalls competition prizes were the vouchers will be doubled (€100,€60 and €40) and the trophies removed. Members had the opportunity to ask questions and give new ideas to the committee on how we can improve our club. As the club does every year, the members were given a small souvenir to take home with them. Last year they were given a mug with the clubs logo on it and this year they were given a key chain with DFCM and MIsterfish Malta logos. This year the committee has decided to make some hoddies for all its members and the members had the opportunity to purchase it with a reduced price thanks to our main sponsor MIsterfish Malta, who sponsored half the price of each hoddie. Members were also advised with the discounts they will be given before every Shield competition by Misterfish on some of the best Fishing brands available at all Misterfish outlets......(SHIMANO,GRAUVELL,FIMA,TICA reels,DYNA baits,SEAGUAR lines and OKUMA), also they were reminded that DFCM members when shopping at Misterfish can choose from the 500 point loyalty card or an instant 10% cash discount on every purchase. Before the reception, Mr.Simon Axiaq was presented with a commemorative plaque and €100 voucher from Misterfish to thank him for these past 5 years as President of DFCM as he decided step down from this post. Simon will remain to be part of our big family as a member of the club and will still give his help to the club when ever needed. Thank you Simon and thanks to all the members that attended the AGM.
