Yesterday, the girls golf team played at Dad Miller Golf Course in Anaheim for the second round of the Trinity League Tournament. The top 9 scorers from the two-day event advanced to Mondays CIF Individual Southern Regional. The 6 Monarchs who advanced to Day 2 of the Trinity League Finals Tournament all made first or second team all-league. Jakeishya Le won the tournament with a two-day total of 9-under par, 132, and was named Trinity League Most Valuable Player. Kristy Harada came in second place with a total of 2-under par, 139. Macee Aguirre and Ashley Nguyen also advanced to the CIF Individual Southern Regional. Here are the final results: First Team All-League (Advanced to CIF Individual Tournament): 1st Place: Jakeishya Le, 132 2nd Place: Kristy Harada, 139 6th Place: Macee Aguirre, 149 Second Team All-League (Advanced to the CIF Individual Tournament): 7th Place: Ashley Nguyen, 153 Second Team All League: 11th Place: Joy Kim, 158 12th Place: Elie Nguyen, 162 The four players that advanced will compete Monday at Dad Miller Golf Course in Anaheim in the CIF Individual Regional, and the team will compete next Thursday at the CIF-SS Team Southern Divisional. The Frosh/Soph Girls Golf Team defeated Edison HS, 230 - 246, at David L. Baker Golf Course (par 31.) Laura Biss was the match medalist with a score of 40. Isabelle Yoshizaki shot a 43 to help the Monarchs improve to 4-2 overall. They finish the season today versus Edison HS at David L. Baker.
