Yesterday was Diversity Day at the Voice of America. It is a day to celebrate the diverse cultures that exist in our building with native-speaking journalists in 46 different languages. The VOA is about the most diverse place I know second only to the United Nationals itself. Different language services had tables set up displaying artifacts of their particular cultural. There was a formal program, a food tasting and, of course, the VOA House Band brought lots of good cheer and jazz to the hallway. There were lots and lots of smiling faces when they heard the band echoing down the hallway.
