Yesterday was kinda fantastic. I was invited to take part in a focus group for the American Heart Association where our input was solicited regarding upcoming changes in #ACLS, #BLS and #PALS. No details can be discussed, so dont ask. My current position as coordinator of our PALS program has me teaching that material approximately 130 times a year. That doesnt include all my per diem teaching in other places. The PALS program, like other #AHA programs, is video driven. Two of the videos feature Jen, a RN from Texas who makes us laugh, cry and think. I dont watch TV and am certainly not a celebrity worshiper. Dont ask me who won the Grammys or whos on Dancin With the Stars. I couldnt care less. I was absolutely beside myself getting to meet and talk to Jen as without her knowing, shes tied to a big part of my life. Shes a polite, intelligent, beautiful woman with a wealth of clinical experience behind her. - For this, I am truly thankful.
