Yet a new Hate Site Has reared it head! Help Stop hatred on FB! Over the last few days here on Face Book I have seen reports of some very hateful bordering on criminal things mentioned. The have centered on a topic that hits very close to home with me, the horrid idea that “WITCHES MUST DIE, BURN THEM ALL!” And yet FB does not feel this breaks any of their rules. These ideas are born from the negative smear campaign over the last 400+ years. And I know I will not change that as some will always let miss guided hatred, fear, and clouded judgments based off of brainwashing from those who teach this hate. So why you might ask dose this hit me so close to home? As most may know I am Wiccan, a Witch. Now I know that there are those out there who will not like me posting this, and heck I know that the haters will want to chime in as much as those who want to add to what I have to say. So let me ask you this, how is it wrong to worship Gods and Goddesses? How is it wrong to follow the rhythm of the seasons by celebrating the Sabbats? How is it wrong to bring about positive change in one’s life through magick worked on the nights of the New Moons and Full Moons also known as Esbats? How is it wrong to use divination tools like the Tarot, Runes, Pendulum, and many others to gain insight in to events in our past/present/future? Do any of you see a reason why that would call for burning/hanging/decapitating or just plain torturing and bullying someone like me? I mean I live by the Rede “And it harm none, do as ye wilt”, does that sound like I would ever do something as evil eat children, poison waters, or use curses or death hexes? Why would anyone think of such horrid things? Water is a sacred element to be respected and used for positive things that support life. I have to say I would use curses and tripping spells to try and stop criminals and thieves, but only to the extent they are caught and brought to justice, not harmed or killed unless of course they did something really dumb like draw a gun on the cops trying to arrest them in that case it is their fault for breaking the law and not backing down when given the chance. Yeah I admit I have a long way to go in my own training, and there are times I come across as maybe a tad too blunt for my own good. But one thing I cannot and will not ever stand for is bullying especially the type that leads some to committing murders. I see that the Burning Times are still around for what I have no clue at all. So as long as the haters are out there I will step up and speak out against them. If this puts a target on my head so be it, but I hope this helps dispel some of the hate and helps others see there are those who are willing to stand up for what we believe in in a positive way.
