just thinking about my holly, at the age of 8 months old we adopted her from the rspca in 2001, she was a little stray that was found running round the centre of beeston and was taken into my husbands police station. she was our first baby and grew into a lovely little dog. she was my little companion when dave went to work, we went walks, played ball, she loved playing with balloons and soft toys her favourite being bed dog and loved running after lucys feet. she has seen us through our wedding (and met us from the airport when we returned off honeymoon), 4 house moves, and 3 children. we gave her the nick name hol wol, she loved walks and just being near us. she used to smile and show us her teeth when you asked her what she had done lol, She loved lucy and they had a special relationship but recently holly gave into old age, she had no choice. when holding her frail body in my arms today I just wished we could go back in time to when my holly was healthy and happy. I just hope we let her go at the right time as I am left with such an empty feeling and the feeling I could have done more ? We have decided that when we get her ashes back we will take them to a place where we used to play ball with her, she used to run so fast and even go head over heals when she got to the ball. oh holly I love you so much...goodnight hol wol xx
