nowtoronto/lifestyle/story.cfm?content=197069 As a serious olive oil eater Ive been getting the bio-dynamic acropolis for a while although I also get the spectrum organic cold pressed. Being in Portugal completely changed how I feel about olive oil. There I had fresh cold pressed which was cloudy even at room temperature and had an amazing fruit taste and bits of fruit still in it. There olive oil is produced much like a co-operative. Locals bring in olives from their trees which are weighed and then pressed all together with each person receiving a quantity of the oil in relation to how many olives they contributed to the pressing. Since they keep a lot of their foods stored in olive oil like cheeses, whole olives and various meats and vegetables I cant even begin to guess was % of their daily calories comes from the humble olive. I am guessing a lot!
