random thoughts ~ taking a parenting class or reading Dr Spock wont make you a great parent .... giving birth to a child or contributing to the genetics does not make you a parent .... children need love and lots and lots of attention, they need to be taught by example not by dominance, they need to know its okay to laugh & cry and express themselves even when they embarrass their parents cause they wont hug a stranger ... I look at my kids and I hope that I did enough to to help them face this world not with a chip on their shoulder but with hope that they can and will make a positive difference =) I dont know why my mind went to this ~ just thought I would share
