so, Im working on a disc golf thing. a dynamic website where you can upload your scores and track your progress/performance with all kinds of cool graphy things...and it syncs automagically with iPhone/Android/WindowsPhone scorecard apps...and you can make custom paper scorecard templates and even pipe them off to print-on-demand services then snap a photo with your phone/tab and upload the round to the site...you can manage a club, including tourneys and bag-tags and whatnot...hooks for vendors to let you browse their inventory from the app / site AND offer special deals (and this aspect is VERY buy-local, leveraging GPS to hook you up with vendors closest to your HQ as well as your personal favs)...and provide a kind of iCaddy that can give you granular algorithmic advice based on what you throw, where you are playing, what the weather is like at the time and other such goodies...and let you know about new courses, new leagues, new tourneys, new gear and new deals from supportive establishments (beer coupons? let us all pray...)... ... ... all for free. Period. No banner ads. No popups. No email spam. No bullshit. You can even login/use the services with existing social accounts like facebook, google and twitter. It will NEVER spam bullshit to your social thing on your behalf. Ever. Sure, you can share, but only if you tell it you want to. JUST DISC GOLF. JUST AWESOME. The webapp stuff is on the way very, very soon...mobile scorecards soon after. Features will be added incrementally. I have some dedicated, suitably nerdy compatriots chipping in on the code/design/server stuff. There will be a general fundraising thing eventually and it will come with some particularly awesome stuff (waaaaaaaay more awesome than CFR plastic, beer cozies and a hoodie...but there will be those too...) for contributors, more than likely a Kickstarterish thing... ...just sayin...
