《三岔口》Trivia 藝術碩士畢業展 Master of Fine Arts (MFA) 雞毛蒜皮的瑣事，在香港藝術家眼中是一個重大的問題？以創作為根本，藝術碩士今屆的畢業生以《三岔口》為題，這個源於拉丁文的名稱，既指古代羅馬三個路口的交界處，後來又引申為對瑣碎細節的痴迷。三位的作品源於個人的感受，以他們自身的表達方式帶出事物的意義及價值，期望公眾透過他們的出發點找到值得關注的事物；在香港的政治和文化問題找到共鳴，這些“80後”的作品帶有一種自我反省的性質。 Can ‘trivial matters’ be a significant issue in Hong Kong art? Does art derived from personal feelings worth public attention? This year, three graduates of Master of Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, draw the attention of the audience to ‘trivial matters’ in their exhibition ‘Trivia’. The exhibition title conveys a twofold meaning of the junction of three ways in Ancient Rome, and later came to signify the obsession in trivial details. While taking inspirations from petty issues in daily life, these ‘post-80s’ youngsters possess a self-reflexive nature in their art-works, which find their resonance in the political and cultural issues of Hong Kong.
