蘭陵王 (Mandarin: Lanlingwang, Japanese: らんりょうおう, RanRyouOu, Minnanese [Hokkien]: LanLinOng, Cantonese: Lanlinwong) 在唐朝傳入日本的蘭陵王入陣曲. Prince of Lanling was a high ranking general of the Northern Qi Dynasty. According to The Book of Northern Qi, he had a beautiful face thus he always wore a horrifying mask when he fought in battles. The ancient Chinese dance and music Prince of Lanling in Battle (circa 500AD) were introduced into Japan during the Tang Dynasty of China (618–907 AD), fortunately this ancient Chinese dance and music had been well preserved and perform in Japan for ~1500 years. In Japan, it is known as 雅楽(ががく, Gagaku), an intangible cultural heritage of Japan.
