Through a statewide application and vetting process, ten veteran fellows will be selected from California based veteran organizations to become a class of “Team Ten” Fellows. The 2015 CLLI Veterans Leadership Academy Team Ten Fellows class will receive life skills including: leadership development, team building, fundraising, grant writing, budget preparation, conflict negotiation, advocacy and gain confidence with public speaking and public policy knowledge on California veteran issues, specifically the MAMC El Soldado project. As part of their Academy class project, the Team Ten Fellows will host a fundraiser for the El Soldado Memorial Project in Sacramento, Wednesday, May 20, 2015.
