I chose these images of Oshun because they capture the essence of how I feel when I am centered in love. Oshun has empowered me by helping me connect with my love for myself. When our actions flow from that place our lives become ripe with potential. We gravitate toward the sweet tastes of life. We see the beauty around us. This is often a simple matter of choosing to focus our attention there but we cant see it out there until we arrive there within ourselves. Self-care is the vehicle that takes us there. I am reminded of this over and over again every time I show up for myself. I view these acts of love as cultivating the garden of the soul and it is through that attentive care one by one we come into bloom. Art: Ochun Sees Birth, Oil on Canvas © 2007 by Lili Bernard
