100 kms to raise funds for Oxfams projects - We made it to the finishing point in 29 hours 7 min (14th team in the mixed category and 44th position overall), with blisters, muscle cramps, rashes, muscle spasms, extreme pain all over the body, and what not... end of the day, it was all happiness, joy, sense of pride, sense of accomplishment, and the list goes on, that will last long with us, the other things will all disappear soon, it is just matter of time... we finished nearly 70 kms in 16 hours, until such time, we were full of energy and thought we will finish the rest in less than 6 hours, but things changed, we got everything that we didnt want, and couldnt keep the feet down because of the blisters... we still continued to walk all through the night... the biggest challenge was the terrain, we had to walk uphill most of the times, the path was too bad most of the way, no roads, full of stones, rocks, etc., especially from checkpoint 7 to 8, this was the worst, though we had few other checkpoints equally challenging.... 7-8 had no proper pathway uphill, n I absolutely couldnt keep my feet down because of the blisters, on top of it, felt dizzy n started to shiver because of the chillness, had to look for water, luckily the team that passed by had a bottle of water to offer, had a chocolate, electrolytes mixed with water, then started again... the experience was awesome... during the night time, it was absolutely amazing, no lights n v were in the forest, with dogs barking all over... v passed through all those places with the help of moonlight, hardly could see anything, big stones were trying hard to twist our ankles, it was overall an unforgettable journey, we all feel really proud that we made it happen... kudos Rockons IV... our support crew was simply amazing, they were awake all through and waiting for us at every checkpoint with whatever v needed... absolutely brilliant support... Ved de Gaulle who joined us as a support crew, walked along with us for the entire 100 kms stretch with absolute self-confidence, he was in fact driving us most of the times, great work Ved... cheers to the entire team... support crew Senthil Prabhu & John Abraham...
