1717996.kyani.net Kyani Executive Message Building the Great Feeder In the late 1800’s, pioneers began settling an area on the Snake River in the western United States, which would eventually be known as Idaho Falls – home of Kyäni’s global headquarters. These innovative settlers began the arduous task of creating a system of canals that, at one period in time, would be the largest irrigation canal in the world. Known as the Great Feeder, this canal system diverted water from the Snake River to feed tens of thousands of acres of desert, transforming it into lush farmland. As my fellow Kyäni Founder Carl Taylor could tell you, this area would become one of the most productive farming regions in the U.S. and provide food for countless millions of people. What was the vision of those early pioneers? Were they focused on just their immediate needs and short-term gains? No! Instead, they were blazing a difficult trail and building something extraordinary that would provide crucial resources and yield fruits for themselves, their children, their grandchildren, and so on!
