24-Hour Public Weather Forecast Issued at: 5:00 AM 14 September 2014 SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 am today, Typhoon “Luis” was located based on all available data at 266 km north northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or at 347 km east southeast of Casiguran, Aurora (15.8ºN, 125.3ºE) with maximum winds of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kph. FORECAST: Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and the provinces of Aurora, Ilocos and La Union will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Polillo island,Tarlac and Catanduanes will have rains with gusty winds. Bicol region, the rest of central Luzon and the province of Quezon will be cloudy with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northwest to west will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest over the rest of the country with moderate to rough seas.
