26 miles for 26 heroes kicked off to an amazing start last night. It was quite emotional to be in a room with such inspiring and amazing people and also to realize I am there amongst them. To hear every story, listen to all the awareness being raised and to feel such unity among our community was overwhelming .It has shown what a fantastic thing team26 has become. Channeling negative and distressing times in peoples lives into something positive that helps and inspires themselves and others is outstanding and to bring 26 well worthy groups that have done that, together is a fantastic achievement and well done to Denyse, Derek, Mairead and Triona for giving this a platform and bringing us all together.
