30 hours before the Promises to Keep Triumph Tour starts and I will attempt to ride my bicycle 140 miles in the first day and 335 miles over 3 days. I have 30 hours to raise another $100. If you are interesting in partnering with me in raising money for this cause, consider making a donation through my fundraising webpage at: crowdrise/fullbiketour/fundraiser/michaelshipshock The 2013 Promises To Keep Triumph Tour is three day cycling event connecting the communities of Madison, Milwaukee and Green Bay with a goal to create state-wide, unifying campaign for wounded warriors and grateful citizens to come together in honor and service. This charity event supports 2 inspiring charity organizations: 1) myTEAM TRIUMPH Wisconsin myteamtriumph-wi.org/ is a non-profit athletic mentoring program for challenged endurance athletes. 2) Team RWB teamrwb.org/ a non-profit with a mission to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. Support raised is used to provide team-based character and relationship building programs for able-bodied and challenged athletes. Both organizations are focused on enriching the lives of wounded warriors and challenged athletes by creating team-based athletic opportunities which bring people of all abilities together. By providing support, mentoring relationships, and the chance to cross the finish line in a road race or triathlon, challenged athletes are able to become whole through sports. myTEAM TRIUMPH is focused on the character of COURAGE. Everyday, wounded warriors deal with extremely challenging circumstances, which alter their ability to enjoy and thrive in the world. The Promises To Keep Triumph Tour will provide service members and citizens in our community an opportunity to heal and start new, hope-filled possibilities.
