6 year old HAL, the Chow, has acted like most 6 year old Chows would act when stuffed into a cage 24 x 7, rarely getting out to do his business and stretch his legs. He’s not pleased and he has no qualms about letting everybody know it! He doesn’t want to be petted, he doesn’t want to play—he just wants to get out of there. Little does HAL realize that the folks at Brooklyn ACC plan on getting him out by euthanizing him tomorrow. Tonight, HAL needs a Chow savvy person who understands that this is a breed of dog who is notorious for not doing well in a shelter. He was reasonably healthy when he got there but now they think he’s caught the “shelter cold”. If you’re that special person who understands HAL and what he’s trying to tell everybody, then start working with a New Hope rescue to foster or adopt HAL. But everybody at ACC has written HAL off and at noon tomorrow, they won’t hesitate to make this gorgeous Chow gone forever.
