8:45 a.m. Sunday update We had a good night last night. Kristinas mom Terri L Askren Talbott and I were the only ones who stayed in the hospital, and I have to say, I think all three of us got some pretty decent rest. But because I wasnt in here all night, I missed the evaluations through the night. The nurse came in this morning and gave me a rundown of the overnight activity. She informed me that she could not get Kristina to wake up enough to respond to her evaluations. She was very tired and worn out. She had a lot of visitors and refused to sleep much during the day. With that said, the nurses have asked that we limit her visitors to just a few a day and no more than 1 or 2 at a time. We appreciate all of your support and I am 100% certain she wants to see every single one of you. So what we need to do, anyone who wants to visit, please contact me and we will try to set up some sort visiting schedule. I dont want the visitors to stop coming, we just have to keep from having 15 here at one time. While I was writing this, Dr. Haddad came in. He asked Kristina to squeeze his hand, and she made an attempt. This is a first time for this. So yet again, were continuing progress. She also squirmed her whole body this morning, though I think that was out of discomfort. I put my hand on her belly and it was like she was trying to get away. So I think she has a belly ache. I discussed that with the doc, and they are taking appropriate steps to relieve that. Im sure a lot of you are at church or on your way there. So please say an extra prayer today. God is good and hes proving that to us now. So as you pray to him today, make sure you offer him thanks for the progress we have received, and may he bless every one of you.
