A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS Strolling down Boulevard Saint - TopicsExpress

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS Strolling down Boulevard Saint Germain in Paris on our way to dinner one evening, we stopped to admire a beautifully orchestrated store window. It was the graceful details of an evening bag that caught my attention. Although this might sound like the beginning of a novel, in reality, it is a true story of the inspiration behind the jewelry-like hardware that adorns Cookies & Creme. I love to travel and soak up my surroundings. It’s one of my favorite things about my career, the ability to translate the amazing things I see in this world and recreate that beauty in furniture. Many of you have asked what goes on behind the scenes at Caracole and how we create such unique pieces of furniture. So, we decided to give you a sneak peek into the Caracole process, share with you what inspires us and introduce you to the personalities behind the brand. Without a doubt, my favorite thing about my job as Creative Director is the team of high-energy, creative people that I work with every day. I love what I do, and working with a team that shares my passion for design is deeply fulfilling. I feel privileged to bring a piece of furniture from concept through to fruition and unveil it each Fall and Spring at market. It’s a gratifying experience to show a piece of Caracole for the first time and watch as customers discover hidden design features and respond with a smile or laugh when they hear the piece’s name. It’s what we at Caracole like to call the “Ah-ha” moment. It’s these gratifying moments that fuel my creative engine. Caracole is more than a furniture company and our market introductions are more than a collection. Each piece of Caracole furniture has a special nuance that our creative team is highly engaged in developing. We like to say we “Caracol-ize” each piece. We add a sense of authenticity by bringing you customized, hand-applied finishes, new and unique materials from around the world, stylishly bespoke hardware and cleverly designed signature features that will surprise and delight you! My hope is that you, our customers, will enjoy experiencing each piece’s personality as you read the Caracole magazine and recognize the creativity that we have invested in our brand.
