A Facebook post I read in the morning reminded me of an incident I heard from a friend, worth sharing. My friend studied in a posh school in Mumbai, and she was the only Muslim in her batch. The school is named after and affiliated with a Hindu branch of faith. Her parents believed it would be good for their daughter to grow up in an environment that makes her familiar with the traditions of the country they live in. She is a very well-read girl and had developed an interest in politics from her school-days. She would tell her classmates, I want to be like Indira Gandhi. They were taken aback - You are Muslim.
