It is something WITHIN ourselves, so why dont we start from there?-----Paul Kagame---Rwandas President. Some people think if you are poor, you do not have right to a clean environment (paraphrased)----Dr. Rose Mukankomeje--Rwandas Director of Environmental Management Agency. The Liberian Government through the Ministries of Public Works, Lands and Mines, National Defense, The Liberian National Police and other paramilitary agencies, Superintendents of the Counties and Majors of various Cities in Liberia, The Environmental Protection Agency, and other stakeholders have to come together with a NATIONAL SANITATION PROGRAM and CLEANING EXERCISE for the COUNTRY. These exercises have to be COMPULSORY and should include every ABLE-BODIED members of various communities. House owners and dwellers are to ensure their yards and surroundings are clean at all time or they risk being FINED. The public health inspection program needs to be brought back with a much improve style and inspectors should be accountable for poor inspections. The Government of Liberia, through the National Sanitation Program should make available SUITABLE and ADEQUATE public places of convenience throughout the country (NOT on a pay as you go basis). This has to be an immediate robust plan by the government and people of Liberia, INITIATED and ENFORCED by the Government of Liberia through a National Mobilization Program. Building codes has to be rewritten to ensure every homes have bathrooms or washrooms to accommodate the number of dwellers, so the beaches and bushes will NOT be use for bathing or places of convenience. We have to make Liberia our Paradise as our counterpart from Rwanda usually sing.
