A big day in Gran Canaria, the ARC + fleet (going via Cape Verde) left today at 13:00. It was quite scary as we will be on the start line in 2 weeks time..... :0 The photos are a rather fetching pic of Cloud 9 on the pontoon along with our neighbours and new friends and a couple of the start of the ARC+. They have plenty of wind (15+ knots) and a forecast of 35 knots overnight through the acceleration zones off of the Canaries. We have had a busy day preparing for our safety inspection tomorrow morning, we think we are all tip top but they are apparently quite meticulous. Forgot to mention we have found a John Lewis 10 mins walk from the marina - what fortune :) We have met some new friends, from UK and Denmark. We have already been invited to christmas in Martinique with a couple of boats.....well someone has too! We have also got our first guests booked for next year, Sue and Tim are joining us in St. Vincent in Feb for a week.....fab!
