A classic once started with It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. This accurately describes my day at the CNY PPD Autumn Equinox Festival today. Can I tell you how touched I am by all of you? Rev Linda Deisenroth, Sarah Dattilo Weatherley, Colleen Gorman, Judi Anne Grice-Stevens and her wonderful daughter and family, Esmeralda, Kurt Hohmann and Sam, Rev Mary Hudson, Skip Ellison and his family (amazing new book!) Raven Grimassi, Stephanie Taylor ... friends from miles away. Did I mention that Sarah drove all the way from Rochester to see me? The last time we were together was when John took his last breath. The planning committee who actually remembered me, vendors who said hi and smiled. The condolences, the hugs, the water for Pazuzu? Though I shed tears of sadness and almost did not attend. I was not going to let Rev. Linda miss her first PPD. The pavilions where John and I spoke and the hugs and the love and the community. Thank you for making what was a huge step for me so wonderful like wading in healing waters. Yet we move into a time of reflection as the days go darker, you may find me less accessible as October events come about. My schedule is limited this year and I will post any events here first as the websites are still being set up and rebuilt. It is the time to prepare for the dark half of the year, and plan the next year where I will be slowly reintroducing myself to the people and the things I love best and teaching and assisting those who I am proud to stand next to as a page of my life turns. Thank you CNY PPD, thank you. I look forward to participating in 2015.
