A long racing report for a long and exciting week of racing! We started off in Knoxville, Iowa on Thursday for the 5th annual C.O.P.S Race. This race was to support fallen police officers, and it was during the 54th annual Knoxville Nationals. Legend cars can reach speeds up to 110 mph at this track. I had to start 17th in the race, and in only the 8 green flag laps we were given I made it up to a respectable 7th. Even tho the race didnt go as I wanted it to, I still had lots of fun and it was for a great cause. The next day we went up to Tipton, Iowa and had a tough night with an ill handling car. I got 2nd in the heat race and 5th in the feature. Then on Saturday we were back to Beaver Dam with the Wisconsin Dirt Legend Series. Lets just say we had some success back on our home turf. I was able to pick up the win in the heat, and then started 10th in the feature. I made it up to 1st quickly, but the other drivers were gunning for me. It was three different drivers going as hard as they could for the win; Ethan Ross, Micky Kudliki, and I. The last 5 laps we were going back and forth between all 3 of us, but I was the one who got to park it in Victory Lane! Clean Sweep at Beaver Dam! Then yesterday we made the haul up to Seymour Speedway. This was the first time Legend cars ever raced at this track. I won the heat and started 10th in the feature again. Ethan Ross got to an early lead and I had to reel him in the entire race, finally passing him with about 3 to go. That lead to another clean sweep at Seymour Speedway. Back to back clean sweeps for Joe Bongiorno Racing! The whole team could not be happier. I would like to thank all my sponsors for the great support you give to us so we can have success on the track. I would like to thank my crew for keeping my car at maximum performance for each race, one of the main reasons we have such success. I would like to thank Hank Scott Race Engines, Danos Performance, and Ultimate Race Cars for making my car literally a rocket on rails. Finally I would like to thank my Mom and Dad and entire family for supporting my racing career and dragging me and the race car to four races in a row, that is more work then you could ever imagine and I am truly thankful. This Saturday we are back at Beaver Dam, $20 a car load- the best deal in racing!
